Reflecting on 2022 and Embracing the New Year
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy and relaxation. I wanted to take a moment to step away and reflect on the past year and share some exciting plans for the year ahead. In this blog post, I'll discuss the importance of self-reflection, setting goals, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
The "Lallalint" State
Before diving into the details of 2023, I want to address something essential—being in the right mindset. In order to provide you with valuable insights, I believe I must be at my best. That means not being in a state of chaos, overthinking, or indecision. It's about sharing lessons learned from a place of growth and understanding.
Navigating the Holiday Limbo
The period between Christmas and New Year often feels like a bit of a limbo. I had big plans to work and dive into projects, but it seemed like the entire world was on vacation. It made me realize the importance of setting realistic expectations during this time. Next year, I might plan a getaway or simply embrace the idea that productivity may not be at its peak during this period.
A New Mentor and Valuable Lessons
One exciting development for 2023 is that I've hired a new mentor. The process of choosing the right mentor made me realize the importance of clarity when it comes to expectations. Specifically, I've learned that it's better to set clear boundaries and specify what clients or mentees can expect rather than offering vague promises like "unlimited calls."
The Power of Routine and Accountability
Taking a break from my regular podcast schedule was both refreshing and challenging. It highlighted how easy it is to fall out of routines and how crucial accountability can be. Having a mentor, coach, or program can keep you on track even when motivation wanes.
Embracing an Active Lifestyle
I've also incorporated a new addition to my daily routine—an amazing walk pad. This simple device has helped me walk over 150 miles in just January. It's a game-changer for posture, energy, and overall well-being. A former client questioned if this was too much cardio, and I pondered the societal norms around sedentary living.
Reflecting on 2022 and Looking Ahead to 2023
As we move into the new year, I encourage you to take some time to reflect on 2022. Acknowledge your accomplishments and learn from the things you didn't achieve. It's not about self-criticism but rather identifying what you need to succeed. Break your goals into manageable steps and tackle one thing at a time.
2023 holds a lot of promise, and I'm excited to share this journey with you. Whether it's health, fitness, personal development, or business, remember that progress comes from taking one step at a time. Let's make this year the best one yet!
